The best part of the Apple’s technology is that they do not design the phone on a sheet of paper; instead they consider the experiences and needs of their customers to redefine there new version.

Apple iphone 4 is the result of such researches, which is a beautiful and the world’s thinnest phone. So, now we can quickly look into its main features, like the beautifully engineered glass aluminum and silicate. The screen is highly durable and scratch resistant than ever before. Its Stainless Steel Band is five times stronger than any standard steel, mainly all the components of apple iphone4 are made of this steel and it provides the thin refined design to this phone.

The next feature of Apple iphone 4 is the retina display with the dimensions of 960 X 640 backlit LCD display with the pixel density/inch. You can view anything from any angle with the help of the IPS technology, which also provides vivid and sharp graphics and text.

The best thing about the apple iphone 4 is that it can perform very complex functions like editing, multitasking and making FaceTime calls. Apple iphone 4 has a built-in three-axis gyroscope which when paired with accelerometer makes the phone most advance motion sensing.

The apple iphone 4 is extra ordinary efficient as compared to the other smart phones. Most of the phones have 1 speaker but this phone has got two speakers. The first microphone which is located at the bottom is used for voice commands, making phone calls, and memos. And the second mic works in coordination with the first mic and helps in suppressing unwanted and distracting noises from the background. Thus, this dual mic system in result makes a unique voice system of this phone.

Mp3 (Mp4) Player Price in India (Apple Ipod, Transcend, Sony, Philips)

Mp3

If it was two years before, it would have cost you atleast 2000 rupees to buy an mp3 player. That too there is only one type of mp3 player that connects to computer through USB and has the shape of hemi-cylinder. Now things have changed dramatically. There are many different models of mp3 players ranging in price from inexpensive to high priced ones. The cheapest mp3 players comes at 990 rupees in a store (SENSEI model) and at less than 500 rupees if bought on ebay. The expensive ones are the ones with more GBs (4GB, 8GB, 32GB, 64GB etc.) and the top brand products like Apple iPod Nano, Apple iPod Shuffle.

Apple has its lowest cost variety too. That is the Apple iPod Shuffle of 1GB capacity costing only 2300 rupees. Doubling the price will get you 4GB player from iPod. On the other hand iPod Nanos can cost as much as 25000 rupees for the 64GB capacity. Apple has a range of capacities in Nano to suit costs. The minimum it comes for Rs. 9000 at 8GB. IPod Nanos also have video apart from mp3 playing ability. Apple players are high in price (also in India) as the quality and the capacity of the players they offer is wide ranging.

The other brands in this area too offer quality audio players. But the capacities are limited to 8GB. For example, Transcent 2GB player costs 1999 rupees while 4GB costs 2499 rupees. Their low price does not imply low quality. But compared to iPod their software is limited. They play wma or mp3 only. In Mp4 (mp3+video) players too the cheaper brands like YES (2900), Transcend (3400) etc. play only avi and flv formats. And that too limited in these formats. However they play youtube video formats. For the consumer looking for cost effective yet good solution, these brands are good. But for those who want more convenience without the need to convert the formats and looking for extensive use the Apple players are suitable. Other than that there are also good quality players from Sony and Philips (Go Gear).

Product Life Cycle Management Analysis: Apple IPod

The Product Life Cycle Management Analysis is based upon the Introductory, Growth, Maturity and Decline stages of the Apple IPod, a portable player launched in 2001. Objectives here were to give the program shape, provide intent and target strategies to reach the consumers. Apples strategy was to release a fun product wrapped in a small package in which consumers have a sense of belonging. The iPod is a way to enjoy vast amounts of music.

Apple’s introduction phase started slowly in 2001-2004 with sales between 100-200 thousand units per quarter. We can see their worst decision was lack of advertising in the early years. Apple expected word-of-mouth, considering this the single largest contributor to the first three years of the iPod’s struggle.  Apple’s advertising budget for their products has quadrupled for new product launches. The first change in the iPod was launched in 2002, the second generation iPod. IPods were compatible not only with the Mac operating systems but with Microsoft Windows operating systems; the next contributor was to see iPod succeed.

By Aug 2004 iPod sales began rose dramatically as it entered its growth phase. The iPod made from the fortune of Apple was the major turning point in the company growth.  Apple was constantly adding functions and features including color display, photo viewing capability video playing capability, improving battery life, improving the user interface, slimming down the player size, and increasing the storage capabilities.  They also introduced new models such as the iPod Mini which were cheaper and smaller in size and in storage capabilities making it affordable to more consumers. Next, they introduced the iPod Nano with acquired flash memory storage instead of hard disk.  They kept improving the iTunes counterpart making an abundance of deals with reluctant record companies. Apple was impacting the business market significantly enough and stopped pursuing new deals with more record companies. We know where the iPod stands, and that it is a remarkable product being sold at more than three hundred retail stores, online stores with various hardware and software sold.
