Stripes
Customizing notebooks with kids is a fun back to school craft, and you can use pipe cleaners to make a striped notebook. For this craft you will need glue, pipe cleaners, scissors, and a spiral notebook. Simple cover the front of the notebook with glue and place the pip cleaners next to each other to form stripes. This back to school craft is perfect for young children, and it is inexpensive.
Felt Pocket
A quick and easy back to school craft for kids uses two pieces of sturdy felt, a notebook, scissors, a hot glue gun, and hot glue sticks. You can also add ribbon or yarn for extra detail. Start by cutting one piece of felt the size of the notebook.
Glue this piece directly to the cover of the notebook. Then cut another piece about half the size of the notebook. Use the hot glue gun to attach the second piece of felt to the first piece to make a pocket. Make sure to only apply a line of glue around three sides of the felt piece so you can stick things in the pocket. You can add more pieces of felt on top to make more pockets in different areas. You can also add pieces of elastic to use for securing pens in place.
Potato Stamps
